Google Xistence Offers to Live Your Life For You [PARODY]

It’s fake but funny: Google Xistence is a new type of social aggregator whose goal is to “live your life for you.” It does this through “randomly generated status updates, picture uploads and tweets,” so you can spend your real life doing more of exactly what you secretly want to do: playing World of Warcraft and Tower Defense.

The prank site’s spoof YouTube instructional video is below, letting you know that Xistence “even sends you weekly e-mails, so you know what happened in your real life, should anyone ask.” The tagline leaves us with, “Because life is too short for social interaction.”

Google Previews New Search Ads [PICS]

As Google continues to innovate with Google Chrome OS and build new products like Google Wave, it might seem as if they’re leaving their core business — search — to gather dust. A few recent developments are proving otherwise.


You may recall that Google acquired AdMob in the hopes of gaining market share and attention in the mobile search space, and yesterday they also announced the acquisition of Teracent, for improved targeted display ads.

New Version of Google Search Is Launching Soon

Back in August, we were shocked to learn that Google was working on a new version of its search engine. The secret project, known officially as Google Caffeine, wouldn’t change the face or design of the Google search engine, but would instead provide an overhaul of the architecture of Google’s web search that would improve its indexing speed, accuracy, and comprehensiveness.
